Zilant is a beautiful chocolate-and-tan boy who came to us from another breeder here in MO. He is out of Happy Dynasty Yellow Dragon x Esenika's Vendetta, who were both imported from Russia.
He has a richly-colored coat, well-balanced angles, good length of leg, a strong topline, and correct head and ear set. He's a happy and energetic boy, easy to teach tricks and new behaviors, and he is very adaptable to new places and situations. As a puppy this sweet boy suffered a broken leg while playing, and we were worried it might not heal correctly and might affect his movement and comfort as an adult. Thankfully, it healed perfectly and he moves as smoothly as before it happened, no limp to be seen!
Due to waiting for his leg to heal, we delayed Zilant's show career until he was a little older. However, he easily made up for the lost time, earning not only his APRI Championship and multiple performance titles from DMWYD, but going on to earn his UKC Emerald Grand Championship and finish as a Top Ten Dachshund in 2023! His pups are already proving themselves in the ring as well, with our two keepers from his first litter earning 5 BPIS and 7 RBPIS between them before the age of 6 months. We love Zilant and all that he is, and we hope to let him strut his stuff in the AKC rings beginning in 2024.
